Hydraulic systems on board are asked to do heavy work in salt air, at temperature extremes, often with oil that is nowhere near as clean as the manual assumes. When they fail, the repair has to be fast, right the first time, and documented well enough to satisfy class. That is the job we do.

How a turnkey overhaul runs

1. Survey and scope. Attendance, measurement, oil sampling, defect list, photographs, recommendation: repair onboard, remove for workshop, or replace.
2. Agreed scope and quotation. Clear line items, lead times, and what is excluded.
3. Execution. Onboard repair or workshop overhaul with progress reporting and photographic records of internals.
4. Flushing, filling and testing. System flushing, oil cleanliness verification by analysis, pressure and functional testing against the maker's parameters.
5. Commissioning and handover. Sea trial support where required, as-found/as-left report, test certificates, updated documentation for the technical file.

The cheapest repair is the one you schedule

Hydraulic system flushing and oil analysis is the least glamorous item in this article and the one that pays back fastest. Particulate contamination is the single largest cause of premature pump and valve failure; water and acidity quietly destroy seals and surfaces.
